Congratulations to the Cambridge African Network (CAN) and the Circle of Change on the renaming of the Riverside Bridge to the Equiano Bridge.
We would like to also congratulate our member Dr Carol Brown-Leonardi social anthropologist/local historian on her involvement with this project. Dr Carol Brown-Leonardi is the Cambridge African Network Researcher, and we are pleased for her contribution on the successful renaming of Bridge and honouring the name of Olaudah Equiano the former slave, celebrated author and abolitionist.
