The Young Person of the Month for June is Stephanie Brown, AKA SabPoet.

These are some poetry from her collection titled Healing From The Pain, Peace To Retain and Love To Regain.
Clarity
Flowing freely as the wind blows,
The ripples cause an effect only your heart feels,
Suddenly you are overwhelmed with calmness,
As the world around you falls at your feet,
In grace you stand tall with eyes fixed on the sky,
Harnessing the energy from the realms on high,
While sinking your feet in the ground,
Lift your chest; inhale the oxygen- the breath of life,
Then exhale to release the carbon dioxide for the trees,
Because they need to breathe and you need to heal,
So you can live your great life.
Holding on
There is a time when trails in this life will push you to let go,
It drains your faith and breaks your will,
Yet you stand on the battlefield,
Teeth clenched, ready to charge head first,
To fight with a thunderous heart bursting in your chest,
As courageous as a soldier,
Eager to conquer, victory must be the end.
Your eyes tell a tale of glory and pain,
Your shouts echo, defeat will never be the gain,
For you know,
You hold that which was held in a time of the old,
Oh! how faith seem to be renewed with time,
Everytime,
That even in the times of hardships,
Breath clings life as a battle to survive. You will keep holding on, your purpose is within life’s tests.
Sunshine and Heartbeat
It takes time
‘’It takes time’’, A phrase I hate to hear,
It takes time to heal
To be free of the love you held so dear
I know it takes time
But how long will my heart take, to get rid of this love
To outgrow this heartbreak?
Glass bottle
A glass bottle is no place for a heart whose sole purpose is to love,
But you have screwed the cover on your heart so tight,
My tiny hands ache and the cover still won’t budge,
I dare not drop it because the glass would break,
I don’t want to put the glass down and walk away,
Because of the look in your eyes when I am with you,
It says more than you’re willing to admit,
Your glass bottle can’t be forced open without cracks or splinters,
I don’t intend to inflict pain,
But if your heart is bottled,
How can I give you my love?
Can I be her?
What do you do when love needs you? It need the air you breathe, your smile and your warm kiss. You run you mess it up. Why? It hurts to push love away with the things you say and how you make the one who loves you feel. Love needs you little one and you need love too. Don’t you see the walls you’ve built are caving on you? The bricks have cracked and there is dust in your eyes. The wall seems to be doing more harm than good. That wall will crumble one day. My question is: Do you want my love to be on the outside waiting for you?
